Tesla’s First Cybertruck Rolls off Assembly Line in Texas

1 Mins read

Tesla Inc.’s highly anticipated Cybertruck has finally hit the road as the first model was produced in Austin, Texas. The electric-vehicle maker took to Twitter to make the exciting announcement, stating, “First Cybertruck built at Giga Texas!” The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, also expressed his congratulations on this achievement.

The innovative and angular design of the Cybertruck was first unveiled by Musk back in 2019. However, due to supply-chain challenges, production was delayed multiple times. Nevertheless, Musk reassured the public earlier this year that the first Cybertrucks would be manufactured and that full-scale production will begin by 2024.

This launch will mark Tesla’s most significant new-vehicle introduction since the Model 3’s successful debut in 2017. Analysts have great anticipation that the Cybertruck will play a vital role in driving Tesla’s sales to new heights.

According to reports, Wall Street predicts that fewer than 10,000 Cybertrucks will be delivered this year. However, expectations soar to nearly 100,000 deliveries by 2024.

Tesla’s stock shares (TSLA) have experienced a remarkable increase of 128% year to date, surpassing the S&P 500’s gain of 17%.
