Stock Market Update

With just two hours until the opening of the U.S. stock markets, several significant movements have already been observed in pre-market trading.

  • United States Steel Corp. (X) has seen a remarkable increase of 26.6%.
  • monday.com Ltd. (MNDY) is also showing positive momentum with a rise of 5.9%.

Some other notable gainers include:

  • Restaurant Brands International Inc. (QSR)
  • Okta Inc. Cl A (OKTA)
  • KBR Inc. (KBR)

All three of these companies are posting gains of at least 3% in early trading.

However, not all stocks are experiencing upward movement. AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. Cl A (AMC) and Mosaic Co. (MOS) have both witnessed declines, with decreases of 27.8% and 2.8%, respectively.

Looking at the broader market indicators, S&P 500 futures are up 0.19%. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average are also on the rise, increasing by 0.17%. Additionally, the Cboe Volatility Index futures have decreased by 4.91%.

In commodities news:

  • Brent crude oil futures are down 0.37%
  • Gold futures have experienced a minor decrease of 0.03%

Meanwhile, Bitcoin has declined by 0.06% and is currently valued at $29,381.

The 10-Year Treasury yield has slipped to 4.148%.

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 experienced a slight decrease of 0.11%, while the Dow saw positive growth of 0.30%.

International markets have also shown mixed results:

  • Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index recorded a decline of 1.27%
  • China’s Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.34%

As for European markets, the STOXX Europe 600 Index has risen by 0.10%, while the FTSE 100 Index has fallen by 0.36% compared to the previous close.
