Stock Market Update

As the opening of U.S. stock markets looms just two hours away, there are some notable movements in the pre-market trading session. Wayfair Inc. Cl A (W) shows a significant gain of 11.9%, while Wix.com Ltd. (WIX) follows closely behind with an 11.2% increase.

Other companies such as Confluent Inc. (CFLT), Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. (CTSH), and Qorvo Inc. (QRVO) are also making gains, each experiencing increases of at least 6%. However, DXC Technology Co. (DXC) and Wesco International Inc. (WCC) are not faring as well, having posted declines of 21.3% and 18.9% respectively during early trading.

Looking at the futures market, the S&P 500 futures indicate a decrease of 0.19%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.12%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures, on the other hand, are showing an increase of 10.86%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures are down by a slight margin of 0.01%, while gold futures have also dropped by 0.15%. Bitcoin is currently holding steady at $29,120 with no change.

Meanwhile, the 10-Year Treasury yield has seen a climb to 4.138%.

During the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 experienced a decline of 1.38%, and the Dow was down by 0.98%. In Asia, stocks had mixed results overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index falling 1.68% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.58%.

As for Europe, stocks are currently trending downward as well, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index declining by 0.62% and the FTSE 100 Index dropping by 0.58% from the previous close.
